Actor Nani’s crime thriller HIT: The Third Case saw a small drop in box office collections on its second day (May 2), after a strong opening on May 1. Despite the dip, the movie is expected to do well over the weekend.
Day 2 Earnings: ₹10 Crore Collected
As per data from Sacnilk, HIT 3 earned ₹10 crore on Day 2 (Friday). The movie was released in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
Here is the language-wise breakdown for Day 2:
- Telugu: ₹9.7 crore
- Tamil: ₹1 lakh
- Hindi: ₹2 lakh
This is a 52.38% drop from its opening day collection of ₹21 crore. Still, the film is expected to pick up over the weekend.
So far, HIT 3 has collected a total of ₹31 crore in India in two days.
Occupancy Rate on Friday
- In Telugu-speaking regions, the film recorded 52.27% occupancy.
- In Tamil regions, the occupancy was 24.41%.
The movie is facing competition from Suriya’s film Retro, which earned ₹7.5 crore on Friday.
HIT 3 Worldwide Collection
Here’s a quick look at the Day 1 earnings worldwide:
- India Net Collection: ₹31 crore
- Worldwide Collection: ₹38 crore
- Overseas Collection: ₹13.25 crore
- India Gross Collection: ₹24.75 crore
However, the film’s team has stated that HIT 3 has already crossed ₹43 crore at the global box office.

About the HIT Franchise
HIT: The Third Case is the third installment in the HIT franchise, created by director Sailesh Kolanu. The first two films were:
- HIT: The First Case (2020) – starring Vishwak Sen
- HIT: The Second Case (2022) – starring Adivi Sesh
In this part, Srinidhi Shetty (from KGF) plays Nani’s love interest.
Actor Karthi makes a cameo appearance and is expected to lead the next film in the franchise. Other cast members include Surya Srinivas and Adil Pala.
