The Malayalam film industry had a great year in 2024, starting with hits like Premalu and Abraham Ozler and ending with Marco. This latest success has become a major topic of discussion, as the film took off unexpectedly despite little hype before its release. In fact, the demand for tickets was so high that extra shows were added in many places. The film is still doing well as it enters its third week. Here’s a worldwide box office update for the first 15 days!
Marco Box Office Day 15
Released on December 20, 2024, Marco is a Malayalam action thriller that was first shown in Malayalam and Hindi. While the Malayalam version gained momentum right from the start, the Hindi version took some time to pick up but eventually started performing better. On Wednesday, the film was also released in Telugu, where it had an instant positive response.
Marco made 1.94 crores yesterday, bringing its total collection to 45.75 crore net (across all languages) at the Indian box office. After taxes, the gross collection in India is 53.98 crores. The film has also been very successful overseas, earning 29 crores gross so far. Combining the domestic and international earnings, the total worldwide gross stands at a strong 82.98 crores after 15 days.
Marco is already Unni Mukundan’s highest-grossing film. It now needs just 17.02 crores to reach the 100-crore mark, which it is expected to cross easily given its current momentum.
