Raveena Tandon is a well-known name in the film industry, especially for her successful career in the 90s, where she starred in numerous hit films with several leading actors. Her journey in cinema began alongside Salman Khan in the 1991 action film Patthar Ke Phool. However, there was a time when Salman vowed never to work with her again, only for the two to reunite years later in Andaz Apna Apna. Raveena once shared a memorable story from that period in a candid interview.

Patthar Ke Phool, directed by Anant Balani, was an action-packed movie that featured Salman Khan and Raveena Tandon in the lead roles, alongside Vinod Mehra, Reema Lagoo, Kiran Kumar, and Manohar Singh. Raveena, the daughter of veteran filmmaker Ravi Tandon, had grown up around the film industry and was familiar with its workings. Today, her daughter, Rasha Thadani, is making her film debut in Azaad, where she stars opposite Aaman Devgan, nephew of actor Ajay Devgan. The film is currently playing in theatres.

A few years ago, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Raveena revealed that Salman Khan once vowed to never work with her again. She recalled their playful but often heated dynamic while filming Patthar Ke Phool. Raveena shared, “We were like two kids in a classroom, always fighting over the smallest things.”

She further explained, “I was only 16 and a half, and Salman must have been around 23. We were both young and headstrong. Salman and I are quite similar in nature, and since our fathers—Salim uncle and my dad—used to work together, it felt like we were just continuing old fights from home.”

Raveena went on to say, “We argued throughout the film, and at one point, Salman said, ‘I’m never working with her again.’ But, of course, we later worked together in Andaz Apna Apna.”

Released in 1994, Andaz Apna Apna has since become a cult classic. This hilarious action-comedy featured an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Shakti Kapoor.

On the work front, Raveena Tandon has some exciting projects in the pipeline, including Jolly LLB 3 and Welcome to the Jungle.
