Loveyapa, starring newcomers Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, has hit the big screens. However, its day 1 advance booking numbers are far from impressive. Even though the film’s theme seemed interesting, it failed to create the buzz needed to attract audiences. As a result, ticket sales were very low at the Indian box office. Big Screen Debut with Low Pre-Sales

While both Junaid and Khushi had already acted on the small screen, Loveyapa marks their Bollywood debut. Since they are star kids, expectations were high. Unfortunately, the film struggled to gain attention before its release, with pre-sales showing disappointing numbers. It seems the film is now heavily reliant on positive word-of-mouth to bring in audiences.

Box Office Numbers: A Weak Performance

Despite discounted ticket prices, Loveyapa managed to sell tickets worth only ₹18.36 lakh (excluding blocked seats) in advance bookings. This includes around 9,800 tickets sold across India, which is quite low, even for newcomers.

  • Top States: Delhi led with ₹4 lakh in pre-sales, followed by Maharashtra with ₹3 lakh.
  • Top Cities: The Delhi-NCR region sold tickets worth ₹3 lakh, while Mumbai managed ₹2 lakh.
  • Cinema Chains: In major chains like PVR INOX and Cinepolis, the film sold around 3,400 tickets—a disappointing figure.

Decent Show Count, But No Initial Rush

Although Loveyapa got a fair number of shows, it didn’t help much due to the lack of audience interest. The film’s fate now depends on how well people respond after watching it.

About the Film

Loveyapa is directed by Advait Chandan, known for Secret Superstar and Laal Singh Chaddha. The film is distributed by Zee Studios.
