Saif Ali Khan is known for being one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. Over the years, he has worked with some of the biggest actresses in the industry, including Karisma Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, and Rani Mukerji. With some of them, Saif shared great on-screen chemistry, even filming intimate scenes. However, one kissing scene left him feeling extremely uncomfortable, and he later opened up about it. Saif first gained success in multi-starrer films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Kachche Dhaage, and Hum Saath Saath Hain. He also became popular in romantic movies like Hum Tum, Parineeta, and Salaam Namaste. He was praised for his roles in action films like Race and intense dramas like Omkara. Known for his wide range of roles, Saif has earned recognition in almost every genre he’s worked in.

A few years ago, Saif shared an awkward experience he had while shooting a kissing scene with his co-star. He revealed that she asked him to pretend that he didn’t want to kiss her. Can you guess which actress he was talking about? They had worked together in several films, but this was the first time they shared a kiss on screen.

It was none other than Rani Mukerji, and the scene was from Hum Tum, during the title track. In a video shared on the Yash Raj Films YouTube channel, both Saif and Rani discussed the awkward moment. Rani asked, “Do you remember how scared we were to do the kissing shot?” Saif responded, “I remember how scared you were to do the kissing shot.”

Saif revealed that Rani was unusually nice to him before the kiss, even asking him to say he didn’t want to kiss her. Saif laughed and recalled, “You said, ‘Listen, you say that you don’t want to kiss me.’ So I said, ‘I can’t say that! My boss has told me, so I have to do it.’ You said, ‘Listen, I don’t think we should do it.’”

Eventually, Rani agreed to shoot the scene, but Saif admitted it was “the worst kiss in the history of cinema.” He found it extremely uncomfortable because Rani was so uneasy about it.

Interestingly, Saif and Rani reunited years later for Bunty Aur Babli 2, which was released in 2021.
